"Antelope Day" 2013

A day at St John's House Museum, Warwick
Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Museum (Royal Warwickshire)

We were at St John's House Museum in Warwick with The Birmingham Pals.

Members of the group, representing the Medical, Mining and Infantry sections, spent a day at St John's House Museum in Warwick as a part of Antelope Day celebrations.

The Birmingham Pals formed the three battalions (1st Birmingham Battalion, 2nd Birmingham Battalion and 3rd Birmingham Battalion) of The Royal Warwickshire Regiment raised from men volunteering in the city of Birmingham in September 1914.

They became the 14th, 15th and 16th (Service) Battalions of The Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

The early Jacobean building is home to the Museum of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

The event was held in the grounds of the Museum on Saturday 22 June.
