M5 at Spetchley Park

A multi-period event at Spetchley Park, Worcester, on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August 2014

Spetchley Hall

The M5 event, held annually at Spetchley Park, is a multi-period re-enactment.

It is organised by Worcester Re-enactors.

I was there as a member of The Birmingham Pals.

On Parade

During the two days The Pals staged a Living History display.  This included displays of Tunnellers and Mine Rescue equipment, soldier's kit, Medical and my Armourer's display. The German Section also displayed kit.

We also took part in arena events, including a skirmish, drill, and display of a gas attack.

It's not that bad Bill - drink will not help!
Help - someone is eloping with my Lewis Light Machine Gun.

There were several centuries of history portrayed at this year's M5 event.

Im addition to The Birmingham Pals there were other Great War groups, including a RFC unit and a medical unit.

There were also re-enactors portraying other periods, including Roman, Victorian and WW2.
