St John's House, Warwick

Sunday 8 August 2015

On Sunday 8 August my family and I went to St John's House, Warwick with the Birmingham Pals to take part in an event.

St John's House is the museum of The Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

The Birmingham Pals became the 14th, 15th and 16th (Service) Battalions of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment during The Great War.

At the museum we staged displays of World War One mining, tunnelling and mine rescue techniques, displays of kit and weapons, and aspects of civilian life during the war period.
During the afternoon a vintage aircraft - a De-Havilland DH89A Dragon Rapide 6 - circled the venue for a few minutes.
