"Liverpool's Giant War "

BBC North West

On Sunday 22 June 2014 I was at the Staffordshire Regiment Museum, Lichfield to take part as an extra in the filming of a BBC North West documentary commemorating the role of The Liverpool Pals in the Great War.

The programme looked at the lives of several local Liverpool people and the effect the Great War had on them and their families.

The programme was introduced by Sue Johnston (Brookside / The Royale Family), and combined interviews and reconstructions with film clips from the time to tell the story of The Liverpool Pals.  The commemorations in Liverpool were focussed around the Giant dolls of an old lady, her grandaughter and their dog as they moved through the city.
